Articles of Agreement made this day of 1888 between F of No. Chapman Road Hackney Wick Middlesex Toymaker (hereinafter called Mr. S) of the one part and M of Nottingham in the County of Nottingham (hereinafter Called Mr. M) of the other part. Whereas both their parents being dead Mr is the eldest brother and natural guardian of his Sister A; who as born at on the day of 188 and baptized at shortly afterwards and who now is and for some time past has been a member of the Home of the Church of England Society for providing Homes for Waifs and Strays And whereas Mr. M has with the consent of Mr, adopted and received A into his home for the purpose of bringing her up as his own child Now these Presents witness And it is hereby mutually agreed as follows: 1. Mr M hereby adopts A as his child and a member of his own household and will henceforth during her life supply her with necessary and proper food and clothing and treat her in all respect as if she were his only child by birth. 2. Mr M will allow Mr all reasonably and proper
