A aged 2 years -- A aged 12 years
Their father died 2 years ago a Toy maker by trade their mother last week leaving 7 children the eldest boy of 19 - who works at his father's trade which about Xmas time & during part of the winter is pretty good & with the help of his brothers he can earn £1 a week & sometimes as much as 25/ but in summer spring & earlier part of autumn it is very bad & 6/ a week is on an average what he earns. The relations are but little known & some poor & some of those addicted to drinking (those who live at Shadwell) & there seems no one to help the children; one little boy of 7 will most likely be taken for two years by a lady in a private home
