Oliver Mews
Harrow Road
Paddington
Mrs -- to Mr. Rudolf

Dear Sir

You will pardon me taking the liberty of writing you, but Mrs. Bere of Bloomfield Lodge Staunton has written me concerning a little grand-daughter of mine named E whom the Waifs & Strays Society so kindly took when her poor young father died. Mrs. Bere in her letter asked me if I would have her, as the foster mother had made herself inside inellegible by marrying a dissenter.
