not being an orphan no orphanage of course can take her - & it seems that among the numerable Charities of England there is scarcely any provision whatever for a one armed child! one who is deprived of both legs can be taken but the rules almost invariably exclude those with out one arm - & yet this child is so handy & useful with her left hand that writing & knitting are quite easy to her, & being well trained & educated surely some of the Matron's kind suggestions are possible to her? It is a strange coincidence that there should be "one" vacant
