Rev. & Dear Sir,
re R

I am obliged to you for your kind letter of the 21st inst. having regard to the girl's age, and the present serious condition of the Society's funds, we cannot well continue to contribute towards her support at the expiration of three months. I note it is suggested her becoming a pupil teacher, and I may mention that past experience has taught us in similar cases that the children are not able to support themselves for two or three years. I am afraid therefore, in view of the reasons mentioned, that the Society cannot contribute longer than the period noted.
Believe me,

Yours faithfully,
E de M R

The Rev. V
