Copy of letter written in Mrs. Faulkner on the 28th. March, 1898.

Dear Mrs. Faulkner,

I am much obliged to you for your letter respecting the girl A. I shall be very glad indeed if you can arrange to see Miss G. and also the girl, and try and induce her to remain in that lady's service, at any rate, for the present, and I shall be anxious to know the result of your efforts.

Referring to your letter of the 25th inst, I think perhaps it may interest you to see the enclosed letter that I have received this morning from Mrs. Faulkner, who is one of the ladies forming our Newark Committee, and who very kindly undertakes the placing out of the girls in service from that Home. I suggested to Mrs. Faulkner that we should forego anything further that may be due in payment of her outfit, as perhaps be so doing the girl may be encouraged to continue to remain in Miss G's service. I am, however, inclined to agree with
