View the Case Summary.

The child at first was left to the care of the grandmother when the father returned to China - as the wife refused to return with him no allowance was arranged for either mother or child- the mother returned her former occupation leaving her child with the grandmother, who proved incapable of either teaching or managing her. I was asked to receive her in the Oage. by the Resd. O.P. [?] who had married the parent & baptised the child - Little I. is very healthy & intelligent & look Chinese.
