COPY.

14th. September, 1900.

Dear Madam,

Miss Hunter Baillie has forwarded to me the letter received by you from Mrs. respecting the return of her daughter I. In reply I write to say that I see no objection to the mother's request being complied with, on condition that she first makes up the arrears due to the Society for the girl's support. According to our books, payment has only been made up to the 11th. April, 1899. Perhaps you will communicate with her to this effect? I am not quite sure but I think she used to make her contributions through Miss Maingay, but it seems clear that we have only received at Head Office her remittances to pay for the support of her child up to the date mentioned.

Yours faithfully,
(sgd) E. de M. R.
