Case 4751

5. Envelope and letter from Edward Rudolf to Mrs Stevenson 5 April 1899

View the Case Summary.

5th. April, 1899

Dear Mrs. Stevenson,

I am pleased to hear that you are able to take the two boys &. Unless I hear from you to the contrary, I will arrange for them to be sent on Monday next by the train leaving Paddington at 11.50, due to arrive at Slough at 12.44, where perhaps you will give instructions for them to be met.

I note what you say as regards the lad. I may mention that it was at Mr. S's own request that arrangements were made for the boy's removal, as he was particularly anxious that he should be put into the way of learning a trade. Perhaps, however, you will let me hear from you again as soon as the boy returns.

I regret that B. was sent insufficiently provided with clothing. I will give instructions for more to be sent if desired.

Yours faithfully,
E. de M. Rudolf
