Case 476

1. Application to Waifs and Strays' Society 17 April 1885

View the Case Summary.

Mrs. has lived in Christ Church Parish several years. Her mother lives with her, & being too infirm to work, has looked after the children. The father used to work on the G.W.R. until he was dismissed. Her brother T. now lives with them, & maintains the family as well as he is able. They seem very poor, & it would be a great charity to take these two little girls, who would be much better away from home. Mrs. is very anxious to be allowed to see her children sometimes. Is this allowable?
