Case 49

3. Letter from Mrs Ogilvie 20 March 1884

View the Case Summary.

Ms. Holland is S.P. & has a farm, the climate is splendid, & there is not that broad line of demarcation between servants & their employers, which exists in this country. Indeed the servant is good & trustworthy, is treated & regarded as a friend, of course I am prepared to give good references both clerical & secular.

I remain.
Yrs. faithfully

My niece is going out in about a month's time, & the child would be under her care from London, to the threshold of my daughter's door.
