Case 5959

1. Application to the Waifs and Strays' Society March 1897

View the Case Summary.

This child, F., has long been a case of great anxiety to us - her home is wretched - the mother - a very weak woman married a second time to a very rough man - whose conduct towards the child is always unkind and [coarse] the language used in the house is dreadful - and the child has no chance of growing up respectably. Her sister, L. was brought up in the [?] Grove Home & is now doing well in service.
