Dear Mrs Bridge,

I have to thank you for your letter enclosing an explanation for the LGB which has been duly noted.

I am very sorry to learn what you say as regards the poor boy and can only hope that the change to Burgess Hill will prove of much benefit to him. It is just possible that the air at Dover, where he has been previously to being transferred to Tunbridge Wells, did not suit him, and on referring to the boy's [?]paper I see his mother died of consumption, which may account for the poor little fellow's recent condition. In these circumstances, it would be as well to watch his case and, if he does not improve in health, I would suggest that he be transferred to Helston, or one of our Southern Homes more in that direction.

I remain
Yours faithfully,
