21st April, 1900

Dear Madam,

It is with much regret that I am obliged to send you the enclosed copy of a letter I have received form the clergyman under whose supervision the little boy J is boarded out. I have written to the foster mother that no expense is to be spared in obtaining the boy every medical care and attention, but as I notice that his mother died of consumption I very much fear that he has inherited the disease. Will you, however, be so good as to acquaint the relatives of his serious condition at once.

Believe me,
Yours Faithfully
(sgd) E. de M. R.

Miss F S Williams
