Dear Sir,
re A Walsham

I have duly received your note I.S. 4479/1901 authorising the usual grant of £3 being made in the above case. I shall be glad to know, however, whether, having regard to the fact that the boy was enlisted in the Army and not placed in an ordinary situation, we shall still be in order in claiming the [amount].
