her slovenly ways & untruthfulness have at last induced her mistress to give her notice. She is a pleasing looking girl, very vain & shallow, & low-minded. My own feeling about her is that her only chance is to send her to a good stiff Home for quite a year, before trying her again in service. She is much attached to me, but I do not want her here, her ideas are so low (very little brain) nor could I take her when the two new children arrive. If we had the bigger house, of course, I could do with her,
