& then wrote to B, Mrs. O saying she had better remain in her situation, since then she has become very careless over her work & has been insolent when found fault with, so Mrs. V declines to keep her. I have asked the Witley Home to take her, but they decline. Could you arrange for her to go to a home for older girls, or shall I let her go to her Aunt. It seems useless to find another situation for her as Mrs. O would still go on unsettling her. She is not at all a bad girl, but rather weak in character and very easily led. She will be sixteen in March & Mrs. O thinks she can insist on having the girl then. Mrs. V, her mistress will be parting with her about Feb. 15th so I am anxious to get something arranged for her as soon as possible. She is too old to come back here.
Yours truly
Margaret A. Douglas
