Father dead. died in Westminster Hospital three years ago, of decline. Mother left with seven children, two of the boys are at work, & two of the daughters in service. The mother is of drunken & dissolute habits shamefully neglects the children who are left to run about the streets, almost destitute of food & clothing. Work has constantly been found for her, & she always loses it through her drunkenness. If clothes are given her for the children, she pawns them. E. has had a very serious illness, brought on through neglect - he was nursed in Westminster Hospital.
