Dear Sir
re J

I beg to send you the enclosed letter I have this morning received from which you will observe that this boy's mother has now married again and apparently in a position to maintain him. In these circumstances, I shall be glad to hear what arrangements you propose making as to the lad's return? Perhaps you will kindly let me have the letter again with your reply?

I may mention that it is customary for the Society to return a child to the parent in the event of remarriage, provided of course the home is satisfactory.
I remain,

Yours Faithfully,
The Clerk,
Cannock Board of Guardians
