Dear Madam,
I am sorry that I have not been able to deal with and return the enclosed form relating to your brother before this, You will see that I have answered some of the questions for you and I presume that you have no later information about your father than that which I have mentioned; of course if you have you must alter my answer on the form. I have put in the names and wages of your brothers and sisters, but of course I do not know their present addresses. If you have this information it should be filled in but if not write unknown under the heading "address" Some of the questions I cannot answer and have left them for you to fill in. If you can give the information do so, but the [?] space but if you cannot answer the questions write "unknown" against them. The form should then be signed by you in the required space by the witness.

As you have apparently not heard the fact you will be interested to hear that your brother died at the Depot, Agra, India on the 24th of October 1914. I believe he was hoping to, go to Europe with his Battalion but died before he was able to do so. Hoping that the information given on the enclosed form will be
