Case 9315

14. Letter from St Michael's Home about M's future now she has reached the age of 16 April 1905

View the Case Summary.

M was absolutely not taught when she came here & has therefore had to be in this school room (a full timer) almost up to one year ago. Every thing possible has been done for this poor child wild, uncouth girl & she has certainly improved, a lot I do not consider her fit for any situation yet. She needs at least one year's more training in laundry work, for which she is best fitted. Would it possible for her to go from here to another Waif and Stray Home where she could continue training & where the girls remain until 17 or 18? She has been yet greatly [?] & is no longer so naughty or disobedient as formerly. She is very strong & health & able to do a great deal of rough laundry work
