Case 9350

8. Letter from the Tattenhall Home requesting C's removal because he had been caught stealing 2 April 1905

View the Case Summary.

lately: we thing he got under the influence of a very bad boy -- who was in the Home from November 04 to February 05, & who was incorrigible there. Before -- came to the Home -- was never guilty of dishonesty now this is the first case that has been brought against him, but we are not clear that he has not stolen in the Home, and we strongly suspect that he knew of -- dishonesty & did act upon it. His mother, who is a very respectable woman, I believe, has spent a short time in Tattenham both these last summers, in order to be near her boy. He is really attached to her, and I cannot but hope that for her sake he will try to reform. I do not think he is a thoroughly had boy, but weak and without good principle at present?
