Pimlico House-Boy Brigade

Dear Mr. Rudolf
I have seen the mother of the boy you sent over and also received your letter. As I knew of no situation I offered to admit the boy until I could get him something to do but that it might be some time before I could do so he being a little deaf. I received a card from Mrs. [?] this morning stating that she had considered the matter & she would rather keep the boy at home so that he might help her.
Yours very truly
J.H. Kirby
