deputed one of their number to see Dr or Mrs B. in the first instance, and heard from them the story I have heard to day the letters which they have written would not have been written, and an entirely different tone adopted. In my view the Society should be much obliged to Dr. B. for not having prosecuted the girl, and so given her another chance to reprieve her character.
