Dear Sir,

I beg to thank you for your cheque for £2/12/7 received this morning, for which I enclose a receipt.

I know the case of A. well and a very difficult one it is to deal with. The lad bears and excellent character and does well at his work but, by reason of his physical condition, we find it impossible to place him. The Master of the Home has already let him try for more than six places but in every instance the Masters have refused to take A. and we have, in consequence, been obliged to send other boys in his place.

If your Board could assist in any way in placing him we should be very g grateful as we are naturally anxious that the lad should have an o opportunity of earning his own living, but I am afraid my Committee will keep him in the Home only so long as the payment is forthcoming and I trust, therefore, your Board will see their way to continue the
