34. Letter from the Devizes Union saying they will support A. up to the end of the year and will then receive him into the Workhouse at Devizes 9 December 1910

View the Case Summary.

the Guardians will only contribute towards this lad's maintenance up to the 31st instant and, unless in the meantime he is fortunate to secure a situation, he will be admitted to the Workhouse here at Devizes on his presenting himself.

I need scarcely add that my Board appreciates the interest taken by your Society in this lad and the endeavours made in his behalf to place him in a situation.

I am,
Yours faithfully,
O Sheppard

The Secretary,
Church of England Home for Waifs & Strays,
Old Town Hall,
Kennington, S.E.
