1st April, 1911.

C/C.
re A.
Dear Miss Peter,

You will I know be pleased to hear that I have secured the necessary authority from the Surgical Aid Society to collect "Letters" on behalf of the above-named lad, and I will now proceed accordingly. I shall, of course, be grateful for your assistance in this direction as you are good enough to offer.

I am hoping that in the course of a month or so we may be successful in obtaining the required number of "Letters" (30), but I think perhaps it might be just as well to inform A. that the Society is only helping him to obtain a cork leg on the understanding that a satisfactory report from his employer as to his conduct and progress is duly forthcoming.

Believe me,
Yours sincerely,
E de M Rudolf
