I now have pleasure in sending you herewith the Society's cheque for £3.15/-, which amount you stated in your letter of the 12th inst you would accept in lieu of the remaining (15) "Letters" required in respect of the above named boy's cork leg. I shall be glad if you will let me have a formal receipt, and, if you can show on the same that the £3.15/- only represents half the cost of the "leg", it will be helpful.

The cork leg, then finished, should be forwarded direct to the lad, c/c Mr. G, Tailor, Holsworthy, Devon.
