W. has been entirely brought up by her Aunt Mrs., who has 10 children of her own, without any assistance whatever from any other member of her family; the mother E. has occasionally given a few shillings but for nearly 5 years has now refused all help. Nothing is known by Mrs. of the child's father or his family, met his sister in the street in London & was told by her that the man was dead & [this story] she brought home with her when she returned to Wymondley between 2 & 3 months before her confinement, Mrs. does not even know what was his name.
