thanks for your letter of the 19th, inst., and for kindly offering the Society a vacancy for the above-named girl. I am sorry but I fear the Society has not the means of undertaking to pay 10/- a week in respect of the above-named girl's maintenance for an indefinite period, and I regret, therefore, you should have been troubled with the case, but I am grateful for your kindness in the matter.
