The Liverpool Diocese administered its own fund for the homes. Part of this was the Silver Thimble League - which raised money for the Bradstock Lockett Home. In 1908 they had a balance of one thousand and twenty-eight pounds twelve shillings and ninepence raised for the home through the League. Costs could mount up unexpectedly, as the upkeep of Bradstock's pony in 1908 cost them thirteen pounds thirteen shillings and sixpence!
