Princess Helena Victoria Nursery Training College, Catford

Catford, London

(1947 - 1960)

The building formerly housed Saints Peter and Paul Home for Babies, Catford, London. It was reopened as Princess Helena Victoria Nursery Training College in 1947 after the nursery's evacuation during the Second World War. Princess Helena Victoria, grandaughter of Queen Victoria, opened the Home and played an active role in organising activities for the Home, in particular knitting.

The residents moved to Grenville House, Ascot in 1960.
