Description:
This lad had been brought into the Society's care at the age of three, and spent many years with a foster family. After moving away, he enlisted as a drummer with the Coldstream Guards and he is shown here in full uniform. According to Our Waifs and Strays magazine, he had 'proved himself so thoroughly trustworthy and conscientious that he is liked by all his comrades.'
