St Saviour's Home for Girls, Ware

Ware, Hertfordshire

(1940 - 1945)

St Saviour's in Ware housed the residents of St Saviour's Home for Girls, Harrow from 1940 during the Second World War. Previously they had been evacuated in 1939 to St Saviours, Weedon, Northamptonshire. A history of this Home records that in 1940 it became a mixed unit, taking boys as well as girls.

The Home probably closed in around 1945 when St Saviour's in Harrow re-opened.
