for the men who frequented her room. Both his mother & the woman who kept the public house dared him to tell us of their doings & said they would kill him if he did. He is in terror lest he should be sent back & it has been piteous to see him cry for joy & cling to Mrs. P each time I have brought him a month's reprieve through the kindness of friends. He is now ten years old & to send him back to such a sink of iniquity would be giving him over to be trained in vice. Surely the unfortunate boy from moral corruption [?]
