Case 2434

13. Letter from Miss Whitlock 5 January 1905

View the Case Summary.

A into the Cripple's Home in Maryleborne & have made application to the secretary of the Ladies Committee (whom I know well) & she tells me the Committee was disposed to consider the case favourably though she is above the age they normally take. She is now 25. We hope she might there be taught some other means of earning her living. The payment required is £15.12 per annum for 3 years. If taken away, they still require the payment for the 3 years, but if they find her unsuitable, they send her back & return part of the money, which is paid yearly.
