It is most ungrateful but I fear it is true. A insisted on going to his brother & would not go to the Farm Home, Capt. Wilson said, & now he says he would like to go home. I told him plainly he would have no proper outfit & have no journey money paid but I doubt if that will make much difference. I am writing to his mother today & expect to hear she would like to have him at home; if so, I could give Mrs. P a month's notice & let him go. A was not formally bound to Mrs. Gibson but he has been most deceitful about going & has told several lies about things to prevent suspicion. He had his savings Bank Book to send
