Case 6024

3. Letter from A's employer Mrs B., asking for help finding a retirement home for A. 3 June 1941

View the Case Summary.

Her health is good, but she is very crippled (getting about with sticks) due to hip trouble, which she has had from a child. My doctor saw her about 2 years ago & he said the trouble is too long standing to be relieved. She is in receipt of the old age Pension 10/- weekly, so could pay for her keep. If you could help me in this matter by getting her into one of the societys homes I should be so very grateful.

I should also like to have the address of a girls home so that I might send on some dresses for the children, that my own have outgrown (age 4 - 10 years)

With best wishes & hopes that I am not troubling you too much

yrs sincerely
B
