Case 9309

1. Application to the Waifs and Strays' Society 5 November 1902

View the Case Summary.

Mrs. [?] her children came to Carlisle about 6 months ago, soon after the death of her husband. She is a hard-working woman, but cannot earn enough to support all the family. She keeps her children & house clean & tidy. The children appear to be health & intelligent. I believe the case to be a deserving one & hope that the Society will be able to do something to help. If possible I should like to get two of the children off the mother's hands. i have inserted the names of three of them in the application, in order that the most suitable may be chosen for consideration. If more information is desired I shall be glad to answer any questions.
