P

Gender:

Male

P's father had worked as a Chemist and Druggist. The family had gone to the United States of America and P. had attended school in Chicago. Unfortunately the father died and P's mother returned to Salford with several of her children. She was not working at the time of the application but hoped to get into service. P's health was generally good but the doctor who examined him for the Society felt that he was backward for his age. The boy was admitted to the Rochdale Home on 8 December 1897.
