Dear Mr. Simms,

Thank you very much for your letter of yesterday, from which I am pleased to learn that you can receive the above boy after the 20th inst. I will therefore write to the Clerk of the Cannock Guardians accordingly, and ask him to arrange for the boy's reception direct. Please report arrival.

As this boy will not be 14 until June, will you kindly bear in mind to bring the matter forward then as to his future, but probably the Islington Home will be quite full in a short time.
